in all seriousness, this thirst for uber-advanced innovation and technologies is genuinely worrying when taking into context its environmental impact. I get that we’re in desperation mode (though not everyone’s taking this seriously) and that we’re leaning towards solutions that are a gamble (like advancing AI models/technologies in order to POTENTIALLY find a quick and easy solution to climate change) just because we’re so far gone, but is this reaaaally all that we’re going to hope for?
